Dominique Lavanant is best known to her fellow French countrymen for her comedic turns as “Imogène” in the wildly popular series of made-for-TV comedies bearing that particular name. (1991’s Imogène: les légumes maudits stands out as one of the better examples…) Of course, she’s not always restricted herself to such outlandish hilarity. After her big break on the Silver Screen in 1975’s La Coupe à dix francs, Dominique showed her acting versatility by appearing in such varied works as Les Gallettes de Pont-Aven, Marie, the Doll and even in the English-language feature A Little Romance, which just-so-happened to feature the then up-and-coming Diane Lane. Oddly enough, it was one of Dominique’s sillier roles, in 1976’s Calmos, that shed some Skin on the situation. In her only nude scene to date, Dominique flashed full-frontal flesh during a weird (to say the very least) hospital scene with a couple of other naked ladies. For fans of this incredibly talented lady, it’s a must-see.
