Honor among thieves, to judge by the homicidal activity engaged in by the larcenous fraternity in Death Walks on High Heels (1971), is a myth. A highly esteemed jewel thief, ranked as a prince among his professional peers, dies after being cut to ribbons on a speeding passenger train. Such an unseemly demise would seem to be grief enough for his glamorous nightclub-performer daughter to carry, but she has hardly mourned the old man when a hooded stranger attacks and menaces her, demanding to know where her croaked father has hidden the loot. Obviously this violent and disturbing character is not offering to purchase the contraband. He desires to take possession free of charge. He is a brother thief! He will pay for this dishonor, if it’s the last thing his hot, high-heeled antagonist ever does.
