Review

Back in the seventies, prophets projected the year 2000 to be a futuristic place where people would run down pedestrians for points in cross-country car races. At least that’s the premise of the sci-fi action movie Death Race 2000 (1975). Produced by Roger Corman and directed by Paul Bartel, the cult classic features David Carradine, Sylvester Stallone, Joyce Jameson, John Landis, Martin Kove, and the nudity on a bevy of beauties! If that’s not arousing enough, the R-rated flick includes gratuitous lube jobs at each of its pit stops. In other words, Death Race 2000 has it all — guns, explosions, car racing and, most importantly, boobies! Nearly every female in this vehicle gets to shed her threads. For starters, Annie Smith (Simone Griffeth) shows off her blue eyeshadow, bare breasts and bum while in bed with her man. Not to be upstaged, naked babe Myra (Louisa Moritz) displays her T&A while lounging on a table. But once Frankenstein (Carradine) whispers sweet nothings into her ear, Joe “Machine Gun” Viterbo (Stallone) gets jealous and slugs her. Speaking of knockouts, check out the cat fight between Matilda “The Hun” (Roberta Collinsand Calamity Jane (Mary Woronov). The skintastic act lets us see each of their three Bs! No wonder the original pic spawned the remake Death Race (2008) with Ian McShane and Joan Allen; the direct-to-DVD prequels Death Race 2 (2010) and Death Race 3: Inferno (2013); the direct-to-DVD sequel Death Race: Beyond Anarchy (2018); and a whole bunch of Mr. Skin fantasies!
