Death of an Expert Witness

A superstar detective investigates the murder of a forensic scientist on the British detective mini-series Death of an Expert Witness (1983). Detective Superintendent Adam Dalgliesh (Roy Marsden) is called in when an employee of a forensics lab he's worked with in the past, Dr. Edwin Lorimer, is murdered. Still working there are Lorimer's subordinate, Clifford Bradley (Andrew Ray); the new head of the laboratory, Maxim Howarth (Maxim Howarth); his colleague Paul Middlemass (Stephen Thorne)…and they all hate Dalgliesh's guts. But that never stopped Dalgliesh before, and it won't this time, especially after one of the suspects is murdered. It's a real head-scratcher all right, but Mr. Skin's already unraveled one of the mysteries of this series: turns out Fiona Walker's quick topless reveal as she's laid out on a slab is the work of a body double.
