If there's been one consistent thing throughout history, it's that the Germans do things to the extreme. They don't see the point in approaching the line without crossing it, they're more of the drive over the line and keep going types. Take the Netflix series Dark, which premiered back in 2017, for example. The show is spread across three distinct time periods, all roughly thirty years apart, but the town in which the show is set is basically lost in time, making it nearly impossible to distinguish which decade you're watching.

It's hopelessly complex, but also quite rewarding if you stick with it. The show was pitched as a trilogy, the upcoming second season being the middle part of that trilogy, and as the first season ended with another time jump—this one all the way to the year 2052—we should expect more time shenanigans this season as well. Hopefully we can expect more nudity this season, too, as Gina Alice Stiebitz, Deborah Kaufmann, and Maja Schöne all bared some flesh in season one!

I watchedthe first season of Darkso long ago that I think a rewatch might be in order prior to the second season launch, which was just announced for June 21. Check it out, unless you're the type to complain about subtitles or shows that take four or five episodes to really get going. In either of those cases, skip it.
