To people who first meet him, Luca (Roberto Zibetti) seems to be a fairly average young man--handsome, sedate, somewhat withdrawn. In fact, the twenty-year-old is guilty of heinous crimes against numerous young women. Director Giacomo Battiato chronicles the psycho's reign of terror in the shocking Italian crime film Cronaca di un amore violato (1995). Following every step that his monstrous anti-hero takes, Battiato captures a disturbing litany of encounters between Luca and a string of attractive women. Beautiful Isabella Ferrari stars as one of the psychopath’s victims, and though her attractive body is exposed throughout, the context is distressingly grim.
