Coyote Ugly (2000)

Despite its misleading title, Coyote Ugly (2000) showcases plenty of pretty foxes! Based on the real-life Coyote Ugly Saloon franchise (a chain of drinking establishments that hire female bartenders who dance), the musical dramedy centers around Violet Sanford (Piper Perabo), a wide-eyed working-class Jersey girl who heads to the Big Apple to make it as a singer/songwriter. Suffering from crippling stage fright might put a thudding halt to the budding career of a lesser ingénue, but Violet soon finds her voice and her nerve after getting a job at the famed bar. The be-thonged babe also finds body double Laura Grady to bare “her” breasticles on camera. The flick includes LeAnn Rimes, Maria Bello, Melody Perkins, and down-shirt views of Melanie Lynskey’s big boobs! Not to be upstaged, the priceless rack on Tyra Banks nearly pops out of her low-cut top. In other words, her character serves up shots, sass, and a lot of cleavage! If that’s not alluring enough Bridget Moynahan struts her stuff in a pair of Daisy Dukes, while Izabella Miko repeatedly wears sexy getups designed to get fans off. Maybe that’s why the movie was a box office smash even though critics weren’t impressed. Regardless of any shortcomings, the movie makes us long in the pants! In other words, what the pic lacks in plot, it makes up for in flesh as the comely actresses jiggle their jugs atop the bar. Sure, this cult classic is basically an extended beer commercial, but that’s fine by us. Bottoms up!
