A lot was going on in 1967. There was love (Elvis Presley and Priscilla Beaulieu tied the knot in Las Vegas, and San Francisco hosted the Summer of Love) and war (The Cold War and the Vietnam War). The year also saw the death of blonde bombshell Jayne Mansfield. But on the bright side, the calendar marked the birth of French starlet Catherine Marchal. Born during the psychedelic era, just preceding an onrush of civil unrest, must have armed the actress with plenty to emote about. Throughout her extensive career, she’s appeared in theatrical productions, movies (Gangsters, Un p'tit gars de Ménilmontant, Borderline, Les hommes à lunettes, Rogue City) and small screen series (S.O.S. 18, Flics, Elite Squad, Family Business). Every now and then, the pretty performer would pop out of her clothes for a part. One example is the revealing role of Marie Angéli in the crime flick The Last Deadly Mission (2008). No doubt the arresting ingenue thrilled audience members in the thriller when she stripped to take a shower. As the foxy and firm police captain, Cathy flashes her chest weapons, armed with erect nipples! In other words, you’ll unload your sex pistol when getting a look at those bullets! Since then, the hardworking hottie has sizzled in Section Zéro (2016), Captain Sharif (2017-2018), and Léo Mattéï, Brigade des Mineurs (2019-2020). Even though, Ms. Marchal continues to star in crime dramas, we’ve yet to see her killer curves break free from her uniform. Now, that’s a true crime!
