Burns and Schreiber Comedy Hour

Such was the way of the early 70’s that every summer a host of variety shows would pop up to fill time on the schedule for a small production cost and generally tepid ratings return. This show, featuring longtime comedy team Jack Burns and Avery Schreiber, ran from 1973 to 1973 (no typo, it just didn’t last long) and featured the usual assortment of skits, blackouts, musical numbers and ‘pals’. These pals included anyone who was mildly famous and not too busy at the time, such as Fred Willard, Teri Garr, Frank Welker and Robert Ito. Ooh, gripping line-up.
