Bring Us Your Women (2015)

Categorized as a film anthology, Bring Us Your Women (2015) is a collection of shorts that tell existing and re-imagined stories of historical and mythical women.  Some of these figures and stories include Mary Magdalene, The Virgin Mary, the Sirens, the mysterious Queen of Sheba and Persephone.  The project was Kickstarted (and successfully funded) by Catherine Capozzi in order to show that these classic stories have cultural relevance today.  The Kickstarter campaign also funded a complete studio album and live multi-media music and dance performance with the stories in mind.  Sarah Paterson plays Arya Tara in a segment by the same name, a Tibetan archetype.  In one particular scene in which Tristan Risk is laying in a bathtub (in a nightgown, how rude), contemplating suicide when Paterson (playing Arya Tara) in body paint with jewels decorated on her naked torso, arms and circling her nipples!  After the vision is gone, Risk doesn't go through with her plan.  Everyone wins!
