Blush (2015)

Home audiences may blush while streaming the Israeli pic Blush (2015), not to be confused with the American flick First Blush (2021). Also known as Barash, Michal Vinik’s romantic drama focuses on teenage lesbians! The film follows Na’ama Barash (Sivan Noam Shimon) who parties with her gal pals and engages in flings with young guys. Since her parents are preoccupied with concern for her soldier sister, they’re unaware of Na’ama’s sensual shenanigans. And Na’ama is unaware of Sapphic attraction until she meets a new student named Dana Hershko (Jade Sakori). As you can guess, the two become dyke-namic friends with benefits. But Na’ama may be biting off more than she can chew since Dana introduces her to drugs and other adult influences. Indeed, this coming of age movie just may make you come while watching the leading ladies reveal their skimpy skivvies and bare breasts as they have girl-on-girl sex. The skintastic action definitely impressed voters at the Haifa International Film Festival which named Ms. Shimon Best Actress and gave Mr. Vinik Best Screenplay. The movie also includes Amit Muchtar, Bar Ben Vakil, Hadas Jade Sakori, Irit Pashtan, Reut Akkerman, Yifat Mizrahi, and Dvir Benedek who won Best Actor at the same film festival too. Of course, it goes without saying, that Mr. Skin has a statuette in his pants for the comely cast but won’t dare offer it until the girls are grown up. By then, they’ll no doubt have moved on. We wish the starlets well in their burgeoning careers.
