Black Heat (1975)

Prolific schlock director Al Adamson didn’t need much of a plot to get another production going. Still, things get really minimal in the crime saga Black Heat (1975). Timothy Brown stars as tough Vegas cop “Kicks” Carter, who’s mainly preoccupied with shutting down local psycho Russ Tamblyn. Adamson also pads the film with lots of gambling scenes and a long song by his wife Regina Carroll. It’s still a fun flick, though, made even more enjoyable by Tanya Boyd’s full-frontal flaunting as Brown’s photojournalist girlfriend. Jana Bellan is also very hot as Tamblyn’s lesbian boss--although the film’s DVD reissue adds some great lost footage of Bellan enjoying herself with a guy.
