Big Brother Jake

This 1990 family sitcom followed the adventures of foster father Jake Rozzner (Jake Stenfield), as he lived in Brooklyn, New York. Apparently Jake had been raised by a black foster mother, Connie (Barbara Meek), so when she fell on hard times, he helped her raise her next batch of foster kids by taking them all in. Aw, isn’t that nice? And remember children, if he tries to touch you, you just scream and run to the neighbors. Got it? Beverley Mitchell, who we’ve all lusted after on 7th Heaven (now that we’re legally allowed to) played Cassie in this series and probably didn’t cry when it was rightly canceled – 100 episodes after it began.
