Ballet of Blood takes a few dance themes we know and love—nudity, lesbian action, and a touch of psychosis—but with the added layer of the supernatural. This leotard-and-gore fest starts with Nisa (Sydney Ray), who has a psychotic break and shoots the company's prima ballerina at random. Her friend Ria (Jessica Knopf) is taken into solitary confinement when authorities suspect she was an accomplice, but Nisa is still on the loose and helps her escape. She drugs her, and the two plan to massacre the company dancers who'd previously physically and emotionally abused them. Meanwhile, a member named Maren (Marla Martinez) decides to write a book about all this madness. What turns out as a relatively innocent publishing endeavor turns into something vaguely occult when whatever Maren types happens in real life—which includes full frontal rain dances from Sydney Ray and Jessica Knopf, a blood-soaked naked lesbian makeout in the tub between the two, nipple tassles from dance teacher Laura Amelia, and a bikini car wash scene from Dallas Chandler and Jaqueline Marie Alberto. The Ballet of Blood will have blood rushing somewhere else!
