So thorough was the dismantling delivered by Mike Myers' magnificent parody of Bond and other British spy flicks in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997), that 007 went from a one liner slinging, womanizer to a dark, tortured soul agonizing over every lost love. But the groovy movie didn't just force a beloved franchise to totally shift its tone, it became a legitimate icon all its own! From the famous music and iconic opening dance scene, to Dr. Evil's signature pinkie to the lips pose, to Americans suddenly understanding what it means to "shag," this dong joke filled flick is legendary! Playing duel starring roles, Myers is both Austin Powers, a swinging sex machine of a spy living in the late 1960's, and his Blofeld based archenemy, Dr. Evil. When Dr. Evil freezes himself and escapes into space to avoid capture, Austin decides to freeze himself too, only to be woken when Dr. Evil returns. Dr. Evil comes back in the 90's, and Austin is de-thawed and debriefed. However, it ends up the free love era is over, Austin's amorous ways aren't considered cool in the professional world anymore, and Austin's going to have to adapt if he wants to take down Dr. Evil and win over his new, straitlaced partner Vanessa (Elizabeth Hurley). From skewering Pussy Galore by having a character named Alotta Fagina (Fabiana Udenio) and mocking Oddjob by having a shoe throwing henchman named Random Task (Joe Son), to Dr. Evil's desire to place Austin in an easily escapable and overly elaborate death trap rather than just shoot him and be done with it, no trope was safe. While the sex jokes were flowing, the only nudity comes when Miss Vagina slips a bit of nip while in the hot tub with Austin. You can't deny Fabiana Udenio has some nice knockers! There's also Elizabeth Hurley blocking her jugs with a bunch of different objects in a running gag throughout the movie that would be funny is it weren't so disappointing, as well as a scene where she wears a white bikini on a life raft. But the sexiest stuff in the iconic comedy are the Fembots: sexy blonde babes who are secretly robots with cannons for cans. Whether it's Cheryl Bartel, Cindy Margolis, Barbara Anne Moore, or Donna W. Scott, seeing those women in bikinis and pink nighties will have you begging to drain your nuts in their bolts! Unless you're Austin, you'll be powerless to resist them! Does Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery make you horny baby? Yeah!
