The R-rated flick Cuckoo opened at 9th place in the US box office after opening in 1,503 theaters across the country. The film is directed by Tilman Singer and stars Schafer as a 17-year-old who goes to live with her dad in Germany after her American mother died. They move to a resort in the German Alps where she is haunted by strange noises and visions which lead her to a shocking discovery.
