Anne jour après jour

This French psychological drama, based on books of the same name by Domenica Saint-Alban, debuted in 1976, to much critical acclaim. Translated as Anne, Day After Day, the series featured the French sex goddess Sophie Barjac, though she wasn’t yet a goddess at the time. Having just appeared on Commissaire Moulin, Barjac made her big screen debut in Let’s Get Those English Girls, before the lead role in this drama was offered to her. Not a bad few months in the life of a wannabe actress. For a glimpse at her glistening love sump (or her hairy clam, if you want to go with layman’s terms) check out 1985’s Lámour en Douce. Which I’m assuming means Love and the Douche. Though it probably doesn’t.
