But When Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004) landed in the Skin Central compound there was a collective shiver from the crew as we screened it. Here he plays a misogynistic ‘70s newscaster faced with a female invasion to his male-dominated newsroom; we feared Ferrell would keep co-star Christina Applegate in starched, high-collared armor.
