Alona Alegre was not a household name in the United States but it was a different story in the Philippines. The Manila-born thrilla made her acting debut at age seven in Tagapagmana (Heir) (1955) and went on to appear in 93 additional projects, many of which were made in her home country. Some of the highlights are Genghis Bond: Agent 1-2-3 (1965), Alex Big Shot (1967), Battle of Champions (1968), The Lucky 9 Commandos (1968), Love Letters (1970), and The Strategist (1971). She did make a couple forays into American cinema, though, including a role in The Woman Hunt (1972). But her breast American credit is the Pam Grier women-in-prison exploitation flick Black Mama White Mama (1972). While Pam took the role of the "Black Mama," and Margaret Markov took the role of the "White Mama," Alona was cast as "Juana," AKA "The Tannish Mama." Yes, we made that up. Like the rest of the cast, she ends up quite naked in the film, including a scene where she is lying topless on a table with her boobs hanging down. You just gotta love exploitation flicks! Alas, that's the only project in which we've seen Alona's skintimates. Although she was romantically linked to Philippines dictator Ferdinand Marcos in the '70s, he couldn't dictate her to get naked again. Alona's career lasted over four decades, ending with the 1997 film Batang estero. Alona passed away in 2018. While we won't get any newdity from Ms. Alegre, Mr. Skin will keep combing her Philippines filmography for unseen flesh footage.
