“My name is Plato. Please don't let my size frighten you. You see, I'm a large buffalo but I'm quite gentle and kind for my size. From my travels, I have collected many fantastic tales from wonderful cultures all over the world. And it always brings me great pleasure to share these stories with my young friends Zach and Annie and with you.” Yeah, yeah, whatever Plato. In my eyes you’re a New York Steak waiting to happen. Regardless, this animated PBS series shows the kiddies modern adaptations of old stories meant to teach them right from wrong. For example, when little Zach tells his class that a reproduction of an Egyptian relic that he’s brought to show and tell is real, his teacher asks permission to display the ancient relic in the history fair, which means Zach's little lie could become a school-wide embarrassment. That’s when Plato tells him about The Boy Who Cried Wolf and honesty wins out. Cue many hugs. So why is this show listed here? Simply because one of the voiceover people on the show, Pamela Segall, appeared sans clothes in 1997’s Eat Your Heart Out. And we think that’s commendable, so we’re listing everything she’s been in, in appreciation. That includes PBS cartoons, apparently…
