Set in post-WWII South America, Adela (2000) describes a fiery but troubled romantic relationship between a wary traveler (Grégoire Colin) and the beautiful, mysterious Adèle (Eulalia Ramón). When the itinerant lothario wanders into a boarding house in remote San Jacinto, Bolivia, he immediately falls in love with the alluring wife of the inn’s owner. The pair quickly gets their groove on, but Adèle is adept at manipulating men to her devilish ends. It’s too bad for Colin, but he is afforded a lengthy romp with the seductive Latina goddess before she cruelly twists the knife.
