Act of Will (1989)

Two generations of British women struggle to survive both passion and pain in Act of Will (1989). The story begins during WWI as steely matriarch Audra (Victoria Tennant) devotes her life to raising her daughter Christina (Elizabeth Hurley). Audra is determined that Christina will have the life that she never had, and is devastated when she rejects office work in favor of a career in fashion (which her mother considers superficial) and a torrid affair with a member of Parliament. But even Christina's glamourous life among London's elite is not without its challenges...If you can't will yourself to sit through 120 minutes of romantic melodrama, just fast-forward to the scene where mama Victoria bares her baby-feeders in the sack. It just may inspire an Act of Spill!
