Another in the long line of Mexican telenovelas, Acapulco, Cuerpo Y Alma is actually a remake of an earlier show, Tu o Nadie and the show has been remade a third time for US audiences under the imaginative title Acapulco. In this series, David Montalvo (Saul Lisazo), a successful Acapulco businessman, is his father's only heir. Of course, it wouldn’t be a soap if successful David didn’t piss someone off occasionally and so it goes that his personal and business successes rile the envy of Marcelo de Maris (Guillermo Garcia Cantu), whose mother, Elena (Elsa Aguirre) is the second wife of David's father. Meanwhile, Marcelo wins the love of Lorena (Patricia Manterola) while pretending to be David, then he plans David's death in a helicopter crash… are you keeping up? That’s okay, neither am I. All you really need to know about Acapulco, Cuerpo Y Alma (other than the fact that it’s hard to say, let alone remember the title) is that Leticia Perdigon is in the thing. For those that don’t dig on Mexican fare, Leticia has shown her butt more times than Shannon Tweed (barely) in Mexican flicks, predominantly in Muchachos de Barrio, La Hora Del Jaguar and Fuera Ropa. And if you don’t go look at them RIGHT NOW, you’re gay.
