A Mother’s Special Love (2024)

Also known by the title In Flip-Flops at the Foot of the Himalayas (the name of the podcast and subsequent play that the film is based on from Marie-Odile Weiss), this French Belgian collaboration centers on Pauline (Audrey Lamy) and her young child Andréa (Eden Lopes). Newly separated from the boy’s father Fabrice (Nicolas Chupin) and now living with her alcoholic brother (Benjamin Tranié), Pauline is trying to juggle work and caring for Andréa, who has severe autism, as he enters into kindergarten. As one might guess, that leaves little time for fun nudity, yet we are still treated to a topless scene by Audrey as she has sex missionary-style, so there’s still a chance you’ll experience some special self love while watching!
