12 Years a Slave (2013)

12 Years a Slave (2013) tells the true story of Solomon Northup (Chiwetel Ejiofor), a freeman ruthlessly snatched off the streets of Washington, and sold into slavery where he must work for twelve years (hence the title). His fate goes from bad to worse when he is sold by his fairly benevolent owner (Benedict Cumberbatch) to the Epps (Michael Fassbender), a man as ruthless as he is tortured. Epps makes Solomon work on various plantations in Louisiana until Solomon eventually finds his freedom thanks to a chance meeting with a kindly Canadian abolitionist (Brad Pitt). Oscar winner Lupita N'yongo gives an incredibly powerful performance, and as a bonus, she also shows off some Anatomy Award-worthy T&A in the process. Lupita's first nude shot occurs at the one-hour and 49-minute mark. In it, she shows her beautiful pair as she gets stripped and tied to a tree in a very not sexy scene. Three minutes later, Lupita flashes her buns as she gets whipped. To say that this is a powerful film would be an understatement, and director Steve McQueen does not shy away from the brutality of slavery at any point throughout the flick. There are harrowing scenes of torture and violence throughout the runtime, and even though there are some incredibly sexy ladies in some of these scenes, the nudity is largely attached to some kind of disgusting act of violence that for most people will not promote a hard-on. Nonetheless, 12 Years a Slave is a must-watch for those who haven't seen it yet!
