Mother of the Bride (2024)

Lana (Brooke Shields) is a workaholic at the top of the field of genetics and a single mom to Emma (Miranda Cosgrove), who receives a shock when she learns that her daughter is engaged and planning a destination wedding. We’re then whisked away to a resort in Thailand, where Lana meets Emma’s fiance R.J. (Sean Teale), whose father just happens to be Lana’s old college boyfriend Will (Benjamin Bratt). Things didn’t end well between the two, with Will basically ghosting her, so the reunion is awkward, to say the least. While stumbling over herself while thrust back together with him during the wedding’s festivities, more chaos ensues when Lana starts getting attention from another doctor (Chad Michael Murray) at the resort. Rachel Harris is also present as Janice, Lana’s sister, and predictably all three ladies end up in sexy swimwear at some point. What’s less predictable is there’s a scene where the older folks strip down for a skinny dip on the ocean, but sadly the glare from the sun setting means we don’t see skin. Still, after all these years, Brooke is still one hot Mother!
