Yo soy la Juani (2006)

In the Spanish coming-of-age story Yo soy la Juani (2006), the Juani in question is electrically embodied by Verónica Echegui. Jauni longs to act on stage in Madrid, and, when she can take no more of her styling suburban hometown, she flees to the big city. Once she arrives, she learns (occasionally the hard way) that there are no guarantees of success in life, especially in a highly competitive urban atmosphere. Ultimately Juani triumphs, as did the gorgeous star who played her. Verónica Echegui is now one of the most in-demand up-and-comers on the world cinema scene.
