Wonderland (2003)

Val Kilmer takes on the role of the legendary John Holmes in this biopic set in the coke/smack/porn-fueled L.A. underworld of the ’70s and early ’80s. In Wonderland (2003), John rides the novelty of his biological birth right (a 12½-inch cock) on a downward spiral to the now infamous Wonderland Avenue apartment where unspeakably brutal murders took place. Ironically, in a film set partially in the porn industry, there is no nudity whatsoever. Director James Cox’s vision focuses primarily on the desperation, sadness, and violence that haunted Holmes and the people around him.
