WKRP in Cincinnati

The wildly popular 1978 series WKRP in Cincinnati had Arthur Carlson (Gordon Jump) trying to run his mother's faltering radio station in Cincinnati, Ohio. His incompetence is surpassed only by the collection of eccentrics that work there. The crew consisted of “wild” DJ's Dr. Johnny Fever (Howard Hesseman) and Venus Flytrap (Tim Reid), as well as nebbish newsman Les Nessman (Richard Sanders). Also, obnoxious sales manager Herb Tarlek (Frank Bonner) is always trying to get into the panties of receptionist Jennifer Marlowe (Loni Anderson). Desperate to save the station, Arthur and company convert their easy-listening format to rock 'n' roll and bring down the wrath of Big Mama Carlson—until the new format starts attracting listeners. The show launched a spin-off series in 1991 and even brought back some of the original cast members. Alas, the once-mighty WKRP finally went dark in 1993. As for living Barbie Doll and blonde bombshell Loni Anderson, the ex-Mrs. Burt Reynolds has done no nudity that we know of to date—just shown lots and lots of cleavage over the years.
