The life of singer Jane Froman gets the biopic workout in With a Song in My Heart (1952), which stars Susan Hayward as the belting broad. She does a good job in the melodrama that has her injured after an airplane crash during WWII, where she was entertaining the troops overseas. And that’s Mr. Skin’s type of entertainment, because less than an hour into the film, as the camera catches the footloose and bra-free Susan in an elegant dance number, her breast exits stage left for a momentary mam-slip. It’ll curl your spats and pop that monocle out of your wide-eye. What a song your heart-on will sing.
