Wish You Were Here (2005)

Sam Page, the lucky duck, is engaged to Natassia Malthe, and they're headed to Spain to get the getting-hitched go-ahead from Sam's estranged pops in Wish You Were Here (2005), a wee little film from first-timer Darryn Welch. Sammy's daddy is something of a baddie, so Sam isn't all that psyched about getting the scoundrel's counsel. But their reconciliation seems to go well, and soon pa Michael Maxwell is offering the lovebirds his weekend palace. The couple hangs out all day by the pool and then goes out on the town that night, led by one of daddy's many friends. Things are looking up for their pending nuptials . . . and then Natassia disappears. Where did she go, and why won't anyone help Sam find her? Is there something sinister about the club owner? What does it mean that the owner has connections to Sam's father? Is it all a conspiracy, and does that mean we've seen the last of Natassia's beans?
