Whisper (2007)

Josh Holloway is out of the clink and looking to make a fresh start with his beautiful betrothed babe, Sarah Wayne Callies, but something supernatural is out to screw him good in Whisper (2007). Josh's attempt to go straight goes instantly awry when the bank refuses to fund his loan; unable to round up cash to get his life back on track, the out-of-luck outlaw decides that one last larceny is in order. The booty in question is a real doozy—it's the eight-year-old kid of the richest biddy in the state! But when Josh, Sarah, and their shady sidekicks nab the brat and cart him off to an abandoned summer camp to wait on the ransom, something wicked their way comes . . . it turns out the boy is a mind-controlling master manipulator with magical powers of the malicious sort.
