What a Country

The show centered around Taylor Brown (Garrett Brown), a night school teacher who preps immigrants to pass the citizenship test. The head of the class consisted of Russian taxi driver Nikolai (Yakov Smirnoff), retired Hungarian doctor Laszlo, and Pakistani Ali. Also among the students were Robert, the son of a deposed African king, Maria, a housekeeper working for a rich Beverly Hills family, and Victor, a Hispanic in love with Maria. Rounding out the cast of round-eyes was Yung Hi (Leila Lee Olsen), the shy Chinese woman who sat in the back. America may be the great melting pot, but this particular stew went bad quickly and was tossed out after the first season. It’s one saving grace is that it starred brunette MILF Gail Stricklandas Joan Courtney. Gail has been in lotsa stuff, from Dark Shadows to Melrose Place. However, we think she deserves special attention for her role in The Drowning Pool with Paul Newman. Not only was it a cool detective flick in it’s own right, but Gail got wet and wild (and damn near drowned) in a very sheer set of bra and panties. Speaking of sheer sets, she looked like she had a pair beneath that frilly wet lace.
