Water Rats

No Nudity

Review

Centering on the men and women of the Sydney Harbor Water Police, this Aussie cop drama was kind of like NYPD on the ocean Blue. While the centerpiece of the show was the picturesque Harbor Foreshore area, the storylines took place all over Sydney. Water Rats was very well-received in the Land Down Under, enjoying a six year run and winning awards from the Australian Film Institute and Australian Writer’s Guild. Pity most of us Yanks will never get to see it, but it's a good thing that we can see some of the ladies in uniform from Water Rats in other films--sans the uniform, of course. Linda Cropper gave us a brief breastravaganza in the Australian miniseries Bordertown. (Not to harp on this again, but why is it that every country in the free world seems to show tit on Network TV--EXCEPT THE USA?) The sexy freckled redhead Raelee Hill, who played Constable Taylor Johnson, showed her shapely stocking stuffers in Hotel de Love--room service! Detective Rachel Goldstein was played by Catherine McClements who went from Water Rats to making water babies in her brief ocean sex scene in Weekend with Kate. Last but not least, sexy and full-lipped Brooke Satchwell has yet to even enter the yellow zone on our patented “Skin-O-Meter,” but she can be seen traipsing about in swimwear or thin, tight tops on the Aussie TV show Neighbours.
