Waiting (1991)

A surrogate mother begins to question her decision in Waiting (1991). Clare Fairweather (Noni Hazelhurst) is an artist who has agreed to serve as a pregnancy surrogate for her friend Sandy (Helen Jones). Holed up in a farmhouse in the Australian outback, Clare receives a series of visitors as she awaits the birth of the baby. But as time passes, Claire begins to wonder if she should keep the child after all, especially after an old boyfriend appears with an offer of marriage. If you don't mind Waiting through some emotional hand-wriging, you'll be rewarded with Noni's massive belly and swollen suck sacks as she bathes naked in a pond. Or, you know, you could just fast-forward to the good parts.
