We're always skeptical when any other site portends to be experts on movie nudity or sex, but when an esteemed film site such as Vulture steps up with a list titled "30 Most Important Sex Scenes in Movie History," we're willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. They actually put together a pretty nice list here, though there are a few questionable rankings and notable omissions.

First off, they nailed number one, as it's hard to argue that there's a more important sex scene in any film than the purportedly real sex scene between Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie in Don't Look Now. DontLookNow

Some other great shout outs to oft overlooked films include In the Realm of the Senses (#8), Do the Right Thing (#10), and Shortbus (#17).Realm

Two films we think they ranked way too low are the sensational lesbian scene from the very first NC-17 film, Henry June, which came in at #24, and Chloe Sevigny's famous real blow job scene from The Brown Bunny, which barely made the list at #28. These should have been much higher.HenryJune

Finally, two omissions we were a little surprised by either of the sex scenes from David Cronenberg's A History of Violence, which were hailed by critics as two of the most realistic and honest sex scenes ever filmed, and the incredibly hot and intense sex scene between Sharon Stone and Michael Douglas in Basic Instinct. What do you guys think? Did they forget any other seminal sex scenes?History
