Vibrator (2003)

A lot of surprised viewers at various film festivals got vibrating over Vibrator (2003). They were expecting another cool Asian crime thriller but instead got the erotic exploits of Shinobu Terajima as a repressed femme writer who takes a joyride with a horny trucker--after, that is, the two enjoy an immediate joyride in the cab of the truck. They finally make it out of the parking lot and head through a stark Japanese winter. The trucker turns out to be a former yakuza, the writer has an impressive package of neuroses, and the film’s creeping pace provides a lesiruley look at Shinobu’s bubus.
