Zima isn’t just the name of a once-popular malt-based alcoholic beverage that ceased production in 2008. It also means ‘winter’ in Polish. In Mr. Skin's case, it refers to a trio of acting sisters from New Jersey that includes Yvonne, Madeline, and Vanessa Zima. The family moved out to Los Angeles and middle sister Vanessa made her debut at the age of eight when she landed one of the lead parts in The Baby-Sitters Club (1995). One of her biggest breaks came when she got the part of Penny in the movie Ulee’s Gold (1995). Her sister, Madeline, was supposed to play the part but scheduling conflicts made it impossible so the part when to Vanessa. The movie was a critical hit and helped put Vanessa on the map. Since then, she has appeared in movies like Zoe (2001), Wicked (1998), and The Far Side of Jericho (2006). Vanessa, who has two different colored eyes, also had a recurring role in the hit crime drama Murder One. Of the three Zimas, only Madeline has shown skin, but if you want to see Vanessa join her sister Yvonne in a bikini, look no further than the bonus footage of National Lampoon's The Stoned Age (2007).
