Based on a story by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, the French drama Une femme douce (1969) tells the story, in flashback form, of an unnamed young woman (Dominique Sanda) who commits suicide. We learn that the suicide is a result of her being unable to deal with her pawnbroker husband’s (Guy Frangin) controlling ways and also to summon the strength to murder him. Dominique gives us a good look at her sanda bags and seat meat as she gets out of bed. This Dostoyevsky tale will bring out the sex-istentialist in you!
