Before the steamy dramas White Palace (1990), White Orchid (2018) and White Lines (2020) hit the big and small screens, audience members were getting off on White Mischief (1988). The R-rated crime drama is based on James Fox’s non-fiction book “White Mischief: The Murder of Lord Erroll” (1982) which is based on the Happy Valley murder case of 1941. The film follows beauty Diana Broughton (Greta Scacchi) who, after marrying an aged Baronet (Joss Ackland) for money, learns there’s more to electrify life than mere currency. In the rich and decadent confines of English-occupied Kenya, there are plenty of fleshy distractions. And it doesn’t take long before Diana is showing off her treasured chest to the Earl of Erroll (Charles Dance) as the two frolic in the ocean. At the risk of repeating herself, the gorgeous gal displays her girls again when in the bath, which she takes while wearing a pearl necklace. If that’s not erotic enough, the topless tart smokes in bed. Like our pants, complications arise per the Earl’s other mistresses (Sarah Miles and Geraldine Chaplin) as well as Diana’s jealous husband. Despite enduring hardships and losing both of her men, the wanton widow winds up living happily ever after. Under the direction of Michael Radford, the lavish and lusty film includes Catherine Neilson, Hugh Grant, John Hurt, and Jacqueline Pearce’s nude boobs and buns! While bathing in front of a bunch of men, the latter lady asks, “Doesn’t anyone want to fck me?” Why yes, Mr. Skin does!
