Biography

France in the 1960s loomed brilliantly as the land of towering eyefuls. Among the most glowing Gallic beauties, of course, was Catherine Deneuve, whose greatness may have cast an unfair shadow actress Françoise Dorléac, who gave us a hint of her natural assets in her underwear-clad bod in That Man From Rio (1964). Doe-eyed, dark-maned Françoise remains unforgettable to all who witness the way she injects Roman Polanski's black-and-white masterpiece Cul-de-sac (1966) with a searing palette of sexual possibilities. Alas, this Paris-born pastry may forever be overpowered by her natural status as Catherine Deneuve's older (and less skin-fully prolific) sister. Nonetheless, Françoise is to be saluted for her own unique presence, explosively applied to Cul-de-sac via a haunting performance and groundbreaking shots of her beauteus gluteus and impossibly pert bon-bons. Mr. Skin loves to toast to sibling ribaldry, especially skin-ful ones! Nevertheless, her career was on fire in the 60's. She scored roles like Solange Gardnier in the film The Young Girls of Rochefort (1967), and Anya in Billion Dollar Brain (1967). The last appearance from our dear Frenchie is an uncredited appearance as "Peter's Girl" in the TV series The Monkees. Mr. Skin laments to think about all the missed potential in this gorgeously formed piece of flesh, but at least Françoise went hard during her heyday and died out like the brilliant star that she was. Our only disappointment is that there wasn't more nudity in her filmography to wave our Eiffel Tower at. Maybe in another life, Mr. Skin hopes!
