Mr. Skin's Video Tribute To the Lesbian Sports-Movie Classic Personal Best
Long relegated to exploitation films such as the Emmanuelle and Black Emanuelle series, lesbianism…
Ian Christe is king of the metalheads. We know it's hard to hear, headbangers, and we're sure your record collection is appropriately trv, but this guy wrote the book. Literally. His book Sound of the Beast: The Complete Headbanging History of Heavy Metal, first published in 2003, contains over 400 pages of hard-rocking history and has been translated into German, Czech, Finnish, French, Japanese, and Spanish, among others (more on that later).
Ian has since translated his incredible knowledge of all things heavy into the popular Sirius Satellite Radio show Bloody Roots, where every week he "preaches a lesson in heavy metal heritage, with inside stories and tons of rare music from all of metal's many subspecies," and Bazillion Points Books, which published Swedish Sensationsfilms earlier this year (read our interview with author Daniel Ekeroth here) and next year will bring Heavy Metal Movies to life with our own Mike McBeardo.
Throw the horns with Ian Christe after the jump!
Ok, now that we've got your attention: the esteemed smut-mongers over at Severin Films are having the sale of the century for Black Emanuelle fans. They've reduced prices on the entire series, including Sister Emanuelle (1978), Emanuelle and the White Slave Trade (1978), Black Emmanuelle, White Emmanuelle (1977) and the aforementioned boxes (that's boxed sets, perverts) to the ridiculously low price of $9.99 for single DVDs and $19.99 for the boxed sets.
The reason for these closeout prices? Severin is withdrawing all of the Black Emanuelle titles from print and has no plans to bring them back into circulation. Also going out of print is 1979's Satanic snatch-fest Malabimba: the Malicious Whore, so if you're even remotely skinterested in '70s Euro skinema (and you should be), you owe it to yourself to pick these up at the Severin Online Store while you can.

Mr. Skin's Pick of the Week
The Alcove (1984)
STUDIO: Severin
NUDE: Annie Belle, Lilli Carati, Laura Gemser
The Alcove (1984) is another wanktastic Joe D'Amato classic, this time set in 1936 after the conquest of the Italian Empire. English soldier Al Cliver is headed home from the Zulu war with a hot Abyssinian slavestress in tow. She's Black Emanuelle herself, Laura Gemser, and her gems are as precious as ever! But while Al's been busy amassing human booty, his wife (Lilli Carati) has been bumping bathmats with the housekeeper, Annie Belle. Well, hell! Laura thinks this is just swell, because once she spots the two doing the lezzie dykstra, she figures she can use her fabbo figure to seduce the lady-licking lady of the house, using her to get out of bondage for good. All goes down as planned, and Annie is, of course, unhappy with this turn of the screw. Jealous, she sets out to ruin the relationship of the two-timing vagitarians, and soon the whole household is awash in hating and wild fornicating!

A weekly look back at past celeb nudity happenings of note, ranging from the earliest days of famous females to today’s hottest starlets.
Get the in-depth facts and figures on events that have happened throughout skintertainment history during the week of November 29th through December 5th.
This week’s lusty lesson focuses on Marilyn Monroe nude in the first issue of Playboy, Tanya Roberts earning her wings on Charlie’s Angels, Emmanuelle and its omnisexual star Sylvia Kristel capturing the world’s erotic fancy (and box office dollars), and Yoko Ono nakedly joining John Lennon to expose audiences to aural experiences they could simply never imagine.
Number 16: Laura Gemser
Although she is worshipped around the world (and, oh, so rightly so!) as the sensually intrepid skinvestigative journalist heroine at the heart (and hard parts) of the classic Black Emanuelle sexploitation film series, luscious Laura Gemser is also very much a scream queen.
First, consider the Black Emanuelle entries that topple over from mere erotic into hardcore horror: Emanuelle in America and Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals.
Beside those, Laura Gemser’s arousing efforts frequently combine ultra-explicit sex with whacked-out violence, oftentimes at the hand of perverse filmmaker extraordinaire, Joe D’Amato.
And then there is Laura Gemser’s flat-out fright fare on the order of Black Cobra, Erotic Nights of the Living Dead, Murder Obsession, and Horror Safari.
Truly, this is a woman worthy of celebrating in the buff no matter what the occasion. But Halloween makes naked Laura Gemser go down even sweeter.

Long relegated to exploitation films such as the Emmanuelle and Black Emanuelle series, lesbianism…

Although much continues to be (rightly) made of Deep Throat and the 1970s hardcore era of “Porn Chic,” one can not overstate the simultaneous cultural impact made by the softer side of the X-rating.
With that in mind, Mr. Skin wishes the happiest of birthdays (and birthday suits) to French filmmaker Just Jaeckin, who revolutionized erotic cinema with the worldwide phenomenon Emmanuelle, and who went on to helm other steamy classics on the order of The Story of O, Lady Chatterley’s Lover, and Gwendoline.
Just Jaeckin was born on this date in 1940.

"Any excuse is a good excuse to get naked."
These are words by which Mr. Skin lives and breathes, and, more skinportantly, they are the exact words that once dripped from the quivering lips of Indonesian-born eyeful Laura Gemser (Picture: 1), the undisputed goddess of '70s skinternational softcore cinema.
