John Harrison is the pied piper of sleaze. A passionate advocate of all things weird and wild, John is a collector and expert on a number of sordid subjects including comic books, amusement parks, horror movies, true crime, stag films (Anal Dwarf is one of his prize possessions), and vintage paperback novels.
John is also the author of Hip Pocket Sleaze, the definitive book on paperback pulp from Headpress Books. Hip Pocket Sleaze is not only an entertaining and insightful overview of the pulp paperback and its many interesting incarnations- lesbian pulp, Nazisploitation, sexploitation, hippiesploitation, and more- but also a handy how-to guide on how to get some of these lurid, lusty and oddly fascinating vintage books into your grubby little hands.
A freelance writer based in Melbourne, Australia, John has written for scads of print and online publications (including the Mr Skin blog!), is currently working on a new book, Rene Bond: America's Tragic Teenage Fantasy.

Number 11: Ingrid Pitt
Plasma-bathing medieval Countess Elizabeth Bathory has been immortalized in numerous flesh-and-blood-soaked films, including Immoral Tales, Female Vampire, Eternal, and Hostel: Part II.
Alas, few have embodied the erotically unhinged role more arousingly than British beauty Ingrid Pitt in Countess Dracula.
In fact, Ingrid is so associated with the Bloody Countess that she portrayed her again on spoken word portions of the 2001 Bathory-themed concept album Cruelty and the Beast by UK black-metal monsters Cradle of Filth.
On top(less) of Countess Dracula, Ingrid’s two other nude scenes occurred in the fright classics The Vampire Lovers and The Wicker Man, making her a scream queen guaranteed to make more than just your blood run hot.

In my nocturnal ramblings through cyberspace, I recently came across a list of the hottest vampires in cinematic history, in anticipation, no doubt, of the second episode of True Blood tomorrow night.
At first I was confused and alarmed, because all of the female I know that got into acting wanted to keep their identity as members of the undead under wraps. Not all of them were smart about it, though. I’m not naming names, of course. (Rose McGowan and Fairuza Balk.)
But then I saw, to my relief, that they were actually listing mortal actresses who played vampires on film. The list mentions some of my favorites, including Soledad Miranda, Lucy Liu, Monica Bellucci, Salma Hayek, Angie Everhart, and Carla Gugino.
But a whole host of boobtastic babes that no self-respecting bloodsucker could forget are absent from the list. It is my duty as Chief Undersex-retary in charge of Naked Actresses for the All-Transylvania Secret Sodality of Monsters Encouraging Nudity (A.S.S.M.E.N. for short) to remedy this situation.
To that (rear) end, here are five more incredible hot movie vampires for your sanguine and salubrious skin-tillation.

moreHistory's most enduring figure of skinspiration to countless Goth chicks, metalheads, and bug-eyed horror freaks, Elizabeth Bathory was a seventeenth-century Hungarian countess who is believed to have been responsible for the torture and murder of dozens (some say hundreds) of virginal female nubiles.
