The producers of William Friedkin's new movie Killer Joe (2011) are sticking to their guns.
The legendary director of The Exorcist submitted this "totally twisted deep-fried Texas redneck trailer park murder story" to the dreaded MPAA censorship board earlier this year, only to be told that extensive cuts would be needed for an R rating.
But rather than cut the already-infamous "KFC scene" where Matthew McConaughey forces Gina Gershon to give head to a chicken leg, the producers of Killer Joe have decided to wear the NC-17 rating with pride and will be releasing the movie uncut and on schedule on July 27.
The NC-17 rating, long considered a cinematic "kiss of death", has been experiencing something of a resurgence lately: Shame (2011) earned solid box office despite its NC-17 rating for graphic sex and nudity, a pattern that Killer Joe is hoping to replicate. (This will be Gina's second foray into NC-17 territory: she also co-starred in the 1995 SKINstant classic Showgirls.)

Looking for something nude to watch on Netflix Instant? So is the creator of a new website called BateFlix, which rather misleadingly bills itself as "the best porn on Netflix" (which doesn't actually have any XXX titles, or what most of us would think of as "hardcore porn").
Technology blog VentureBeat describes BateFlix as "a cross between Netflix recommendation search engine InstantWatcher and Mr. Skin," and indeed BateFlix's nudity-ratings format and search categories will be, shall we say, familiar to Mr. Skin users.
Bateflix does give users the opportunity to put in their 2 cents, including such insights as "She gets railed and abused by some bigshot, eventually James Bond appears and sexes her too" (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, 2011) and "That chick from saved by the bell dances does full frontal. The plot is not bad either." (Showgirls, 1995). However, unlike Mr. Skin, BateFlix does not provide specific "fast-forward to" information, nor does it provide pics and clips of the the 6,411 Netflix Instant titles in their database.

We're not cinema snobs here at Skin Central- all we ask is that a movie include some boobs (or butts, we're not picky). In fact, we're willing to let a lot go if a pair of pontoons are involved.
That's why we're so excited about the nominees for this year's Razzie Awards, a yearly, shall we say, celebration of the very worst in motion pictures. With the exception of Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star (2011), which features funbags from Meredith Giangrande (above), all of this year's Worst Picture nominees are non-nude. So hate away, Skin fans...just leave Meredith and those Giangrandes alone!

Hollywood has seen a huge decline in R-rated erotic thrillers since Eszterhas' heyday in the early 90's, leaving a gaping, PG-13 hole where the bush of A-list actresses like Sharon Stone should be. So when Eszterhas and The Lincoln Lawyer producer Scott Steindorff go to the Cannes Film Festival next month to shop around their script, we're really hoping someone in Tinseltown will bite. Because with a name like Lust, it's got to be nude!
