Once again, we've reached the end of an amazing nude decade. As the '80s drew to a close and the '90s came roaring in, flannel replaced spandex, NWA eclipsed Run-DMC, and hair metal was just a big-haired memory as alternative rock bust-ed into the mainstream. But as they always do, the nude stars of 1989 continued to shine.

For a Hollywood actress, the ultimate double shot is being nominated for two acting Oscars in the same year (unless you’re Lindsay Lohan, in which case the ultimate double shot is lifting two bottles of tequila at Discount Liquor Mart). Here’s a sampling of our favorite ladies who’ve received this rare honor:

Ravishing redhead Julianne Moore is the most recent nominee on our list, nominated in 2002 for her roles in Far from Heaven and The Hours. But you have to go back all the way to 1993 for a glimpse of her famous firecrotch (and buns) in Short Cuts.

Also in 1993, Holly Hunter received two nominations for her roles in The Firm and The Piano. We get firm thinking about tinkling Holly’s ivories, shown here in glorious rear view in The Piano.

Icy British beauty Emma Thompson was nominated the same year for her roles in The Remains of the Day and In the Name of the Father. Mr. Skin will spend the remains of this day reminiscing about Emma’s rack in The Tall Guy (1989).

5’10” glamazon Sigourney Weaver was nominated in 1988 for her roles in Gorillas in the Mist and Working Girl. Sigourney didn’t show her beaver in those films, though she played a lady of the night in Working Girl, but she graciously compensated by flashing full frontal in A Map of the World (2000).

Summer blockbusters are notoriously heavy on action and light on nudity, which is why this weekend is such a great one for hitting the theater. Uncharacteristically, we have a new release that's hilarious, violent, action-packed, full of amazing nudity and in 3D! Read on!

Piranha 3D
Like killer fish? Like boobs? Like killer fish devouring boobs? Like looking at all these things while wearing goofy red and blue glasses? The much-skinticipated Piranha 3D chomps its way into theaters this weekend, and you'll be hooked on the bait that stacked Kelly Brook and porn princess Riley Steele are throwing out. Mr. Skin prefers bums to chum, but your worm will wiggle when these babes get completely nude for a lez-tinged underwater romp. It'll make you reel.

Lottery Ticket
The Ice Cube comedy Lottery Ticket also hits the big screen. It's heavy on giggles and light on jiggles, but it does costar one of 2009's most promising nudecomers, the delicious Naturi Naughton. To see Naturi au naturel, don't miss her in the Biggie Smalls biopic Notorious. She shows off some boobs and butt that are B.I.G. and H.O.T.!

Nanny McPhee Returns
If you've got kids, your best bet for a family-friendly flick this weekend is Nanny McPhee Returns. Emma Thompson stars as the titular babysitter, while Maggie Gyllenhaal is the kids' MILFy mom. For less McPhee and more McTee and A, a young and tasty Emma gets naked and hits the sheets with Jeff Goldblum in The Tall Guy, and Maggie's funbaggies, butt, and lush burger get the kinky S&M treatment in Secretary.

The Switch
Finally, America's sweetheart Jennifer Aniston is always a welcome sight, but in the rom-com The Switch, she'll leave you with an itch thanks to no nudity whatsoever. Luckily, we have shots of her exquisite ass in The Break-Up, and some nice rack-tion in the indie The Good Girl. That's great, girl.

Tit was 20 years ago today ….

In celebrity skin terms, 1989 is noteworthy as a transitional time, and not always for the best . . . or the breast.

A-list stars, who just five years earlier could still be counted on for full-frontal film appearances and the occasional Playboy spread, clearly seemed to be moving in the direction of covered-up self-consciousness.

Top-notch flesh did arise, however, from late-night cable TV erotic thrillers, where a new breed of video vixen kept viewers up—way up—into the wee hours.
