On Thanksgiving we gave spanks for the nude stars who made 2011 great, but now that the turkey's been carved and the dust has settled (along with all that food in our stomachs), we're feeling a little less generous. You’ll be red in de Palmas this week as the nude Brian de Palma classics Dressed to Kill (1980) and Scarface (1983) hit Blu-Ray. In other Blu-Ray nudes, Straw Dogs celebrates its 40th anniversary with a deluxe re-issue, and 40 Days and 40 Nights (2002) gives up DVD instead of sex this year. A wise choice.

Back in 1971, All in the Family debuted on the boob tube, Nixon sat in the white house, and Jim Morrison was found dead in a Parisian bathtub. The movie we celebrate is Mandingo, which erupted into neighborhood theaters nationwide on this day in 1975.

Mandingo deals with sexual relations between slaves and masters on a brutal plantation in the pre-Civil War American south as only a maniacally over-the-top masterpiece of hard-boiled movie-making can.
