Ian Christe is king of the metalheads. We know it's hard to hear, headbangers, and we're sure your record collection is appropriately trv, but this guy wrote the book. Literally. His book Sound of the Beast: The Complete Headbanging History of Heavy Metal, first published in 2003, contains over 400 pages of hard-rocking history and has been translated into German, Czech, Finnish, French, Japanese, and Spanish, among others (more on that later).

Ian has since translated his incredible knowledge of all things heavy into the popular Sirius Satellite Radio show Bloody Roots, where every week he "preaches a lesson in heavy metal heritage, with inside stories and tons of rare music from all of metal's many subspecies," and Bazillion Points Books, which published Swedish Sensationsfilms earlier this year (read our interview with author Daniel Ekeroth here) and next year will bring Heavy Metal Movies to life with our own Mike McBeardo.

Mr. Skin is quivering with anticipation, because the Academy Awards are getting a heaping helping of carpet munching this year! Nominees Black Swan and The Kids Are All Right both feature scenes of lesbionic love (and lesbionic parenting, in the case of the latter). In honor of this perfect Sapphic storm, Mr. Skin is counting down our favorite girl-on-girl scenes that Mr. Oscar has favored with his affections.

Charlize Theron was a big winner for her performance as unhinged lesbian serial killer Aileen Wournos in Monster (2003). Before Aileen is sent to the chair for her homicidal hooker ways, sparks fly between her and ladylover Christina Ricci.Christina keeps her hefty headlights inside her top in the film, leaving Mr. Skin feeling truly victimized.

Hilary Swank made a splash with her portrayal of Brandon Teena in the tearjerker Boys Don’t Cry (1999), for which she won an Academy Award. In the film, Hilary puts a finger into sweet, sweet dyke Chloe Sevigny in a lesbian scene so skintastic, it had to be trimmed down for the film to get an R rating.

Pre-teen girls love Kristen Stewart because she plays lovestruck teen Bella in the wildly popular Twilight saga. Adults love her because she's a long-legged tough girl with a scowl that's more sexy than angry. Although she gave us some chaste yet hot underwear shots in Twilight and Adventureland, and gave Dakota Fanning a girl-girl grope in The Runaways, Kristen hasn't run away with the idea of going really bad... yet.

Stewart is presently filming the movie adaptation of Jack Kerouac's beloved beat novel On the Road, due in theaters in 2011, and Life & Style magazine looked over the script reports: "Her character, 16-year-old Marylou, has a threesome with a couple of hotties, asks to watch two people have sex and brags about loving to perform oral sex."

Note that this is exactly the career path that skin fave Christina Ricci opted to take: spooky child actor to Hall of Fame nudity in one movie. Remember, Christina had been seen as the sweet girl from That Darn Cat! and The Addams Family, and after the racy The Opposite of Sex and her showstopping full frontal flash in Prozac Nation, she was seen as edgy, dangerous, and very sexy, going on to bare in Black Snake Moan, Monster, and After.Life.

Forget Team Jacob and Team Edward. Skin Central is on the side of Team Naked Kristen. Firmly.

Sure, it's Anatomy Awards time, but we hear that there's also something called the Academy Awards going on. Apparently, it's some sort of achievement for acting, directing, and the like? We at Skin Central were unimpressed until we noticed that several past winners of these so-called "Oscars" have been nude. And what better way to honor this than with a list?

Upcoming Nude Scenes is reporting that we will be seeing Mr. Skin Hall-of-Famer Christina Ricci naked in the upcoming creepy horror-drama After.Life with Liam Neesen and Justin Long.

Ricci plays a young woman caught between life and death, and Neesen is an evil funeral director who wants to bury her alive.

And as a semi-corpse, Christina spends a lot of time naked in the morgue with all the other stiffs.

A look at the influence of crack cocaine on a community, Cracktown was written and directed by Buddy Giovinazzo and based on his novel of the same name. Along with the drug peddling, prostitution, and domestic violence, there’s also plenty of sex and nudity, proving that life is even hotter in Racktown.

Check. Charlize Theron looking like absolute gorgeous perfection? Not so much. The Academy admired Charlize's brave choice to subdue her natural beauty for a gritty role and awarded her the Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role in 2004. Mr Skin may prefer to gaze upon Theron's stunning mug in movies such as The Devil's Advocate and Reindeer Games, but those melons look monstrously hot no matter what the movie.
