Review

Jeeves (Dennis Price) is a butler (or "gentleman's gentleman,” if you prefer) who works for one Bertie Wooster (Ian Carmichael). Though a rich young man blessed with good looks, Bertie is a few knick-knacks shy of a full attic, and, for better or worse, Jeeves’ mission in life has become getting Bertie out of trouble, usually with the ladies. This BBC series only aired for twenty episodes, all but two of which have had their master tapes 'wiped' since the early 1970s; so much for that World of Wooster DVD box set, eh? Speaking of a set (and a box), co-star Tracy Reed showed hers in the classic buddy-cop flick Running Scared with Gregory Hines and Billy Crystal--made back in the day when they were both still funny. Yes, I can assure you, they were funny once. Seriously. No, I swear, it’s true. Come on, forget Father’s Day for one second, I’m telling you the truth here!
