After making movie goers laugh with comical portrayals in Bonnie and Clyde (1967), Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971), The Producers (1967), Blazing Saddles (1974) and Young Frankenstein (1974), actor Gene Wilder added director to his resumé. He wrote and directed The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes’ Smarter Brother (1975), The World’s Greatest Lover (1977), and The Woman in Red (1984). Based on the French flick Pardon Mon Affaire (1976), the latter pic features the movie debut of former Pantene spokesmodel (“Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful”) Kelly LeBrock. She plays Charlotte, the titular character, who catches the eye (and another part of the anatomy) of ad man Ted Pierce (Wilder). He’s got blue balls for the braless babe in a red dress — with matching panties! But, like our jeans, complications arise when Ted’s secretary (Gilda Radner) thinks he’s madly in lust with her. There’s also a little matter regarding Charlotte’s husband. But back to those panties… Kelly dons another pair of undies (with high heels) during a bedroom scene with Gene. But when her hubby comes home early, the British beauty jumps up to cover herself. Ironically, this is when Ms. LeBrock flashes her LeBoob and LeBush! With skin like that, who would have guessed this risqué romp was rated PG-13? Still, the movie is breast known for its Oscar-winning Best Original Song: Stevie Wonder’s “I Just Called to Say I Love You.” Yet considering the leading lady’s looks, it should have been titled “I Just Phoned to Bone You!”
