The Wings of the Dove (1997)

English rose Helena Bonham Carter will make flesh fans rise in The Wings of the Dove (1997), an adaptation of the Henry James novel. For her portrayal of Kate Croy, one of literature’s great romantic sociopaths, she was named Best Actress at the Critics’ Circle Film Awards, the National Board of Review of Motion Pictures Awards, and from the Broadcast Film Critics Association. If that’s not impressive enough, the skintastic starlet nabbed Academy Award, Golden Globe and British Academy Film Award nominations for her provocative performance. The R rated period piece sees Ms. Croy as an outcast socialite looking for a chance to marry into money circa London, 1910. Unfortunately, her true love is reporter Merton Densher (Linus Roache) who doesn’t give a fig about having a fortune. But once Kate befriends dying heiress Milly Theale (Alison Elliott), she figures out a way to have her cake and eat it too. Long story short, Kate tells Merton to marry Milly so they can inherit the Theale funds when the sickly spouse passes away. Alas, things don’t go as planned and Kate winds up getting hoisted on her own petard. Of course, you’ll be hoisting your own pants petard when you get a gander at Helena’s alabaster skin. During a dimly-lit sex scene, the British babe bares all while spreading her .... wings for her man. Luckily for us, the lusty leading lady shows off her perky peaks, brunette bush and beautiful nude booty. No wonder Mr. Skin calls her Helena “Bottom” Carter!
